KEI stands for Kustom Eminance Intergrated. I just googled up the info from the Kustom site now and they used KEI speakers in them. One with a round magnet and one with a square. They were bottom of the barrel budget speakers a bunch of low end amps used and basically came in two types. Earley eminance speakers are not the speakers you buy today either. That was what the budget manudacturers did to copy Altecs and JBL's to give that cloned look but totally missed it on sound quality. What would you guess? The speaker were crappy sounding too. My memories of the speakers before I googled it was they were black, and had no manufacturers name on them. He makes a post about a rare amp Kustom made without the tuck and roll that likely noone else at HC has ever heard before no less gigged with for 10 years and he calls me a snob? Like I said My old bass player still has his from the 70s, and Its still not a super amp and nothings going to change that. I am willing to allow testing of the amp for FUNCTION, but as I don’t run a music store, please have the money and a vehicle large enough to haul it away when you come.Wow. $400.00 cash (~Negotiable~) takes her over the hill and far way. There is one very small hole/tear in the original grill cloth. She’s actually pretty clean a little rough around the edges after nearly 40 years and the tolex has a couple of tears in a few hidden-from-view places on the back, but it's in far better condition than most would expect for a 35 year old piece. This beast may not be for everyone, including me, but it’s just gotta be for somebody. It also explains why this piece will go with LOCAL PICKUP ONLY, unless YOU can make some extraordinary arrangements for packing and truck freight. This amp weighs well over 100 lbs., which explains why Kustom built some heavy duty and fully functional casters into the bottom and built metal, recessed handles into the sides and back. All the switches and selectors work, but I do not have the foot switches that it apparently came with. This amp will run from bedroom quiet to arena loud really quite a piece if this sound is what you're after.

The cab is wired to run 4 ohms, but one wire inside the cabinet can easily be switched to run at 16 ohms if you need to match another amp head with more than 200 watts capability, you’ll never run out of headroom. I’ve run the cab with a Univox 50 watt head and it sounded great with a Marshall 1987 plugged into the cabinet you could play with The Who if the call came. She’s also been upgraded to a three prong power plug for safety and the cabinet connection has been upgraded with a longer ¼” speaker cable (16 gauge) which allows use with another head, if that’s what moves you.
#KASINO AMP MODS#
The entire cabinet is made from 5/8” pine ply (No MDF/Particle Board) and is loaded with 7 Jensen Mods (35 watts each) and ONE Eminence BP10 (the Eminence was the speaker used for PA mic’ing due to its punchier tone, although she was only gigged once last year since the refurb). This 200 watt amp features clean to crunchy sound, no hums or buzz at all and 8 of the 10” speakers which were all replaced within the last 2 years as the originals had long-ago dry rotted and all the original hardware is intact. The cabinet measures 42" tall, 26" wide and 11" deep overall.

These amps were identical in every way to the standard Kustoms, with the exception of being covered with tolex instead of Kustom’s more famous and flashier “tuck and roll” material to keep the price down a bit. I know solid state amps don't count for much around here, but talk about a piece of history! This is a fully functional, loud-as-you-like Kasino Model 802, 200 watt SOLID STATE “combo” guitar amplifier from Kustom’s 1970's-era Kasino line.
